In 1984, he emigrated to the United States and later attended the International Baccalaureate Program at St. Petersburg High School, Florida. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a Minor in Philosophy and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He completed postdoctoral research under Prof. Peter G. Schultz at UC Berkeley and the Scripps Research Institute. Currently, he is a Professor of Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University. He is currently preparing to apply to dental school. Passionate about service and improving access to healthcare, Kevin spends his free time volunteering at free clinics and helped restart dental operations in Mexico through Flying Samaritans at UCR. He aspires to one day open free dental clinics in the United States and Cambodia to serve underserved communities and reduce oral health disparities.

Anjulina Lay was born and raised in Cambodia and immigrated to the United States at age 10. She is a senior at the University of California, Riverside, pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management and a minor in Economics. She served as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op at Keurig Dr Pepper, streamlining scrap reporting and reducing material waste. She also interned at the Embassy of Cambodia in Washington, D.C., supporting diplomatic operations. Anjulina is a former President of the Supply Chain Society and Co-President of the Khmer Student Society.

Dr. Chheang is an Assistant Professor in human-computer interaction, virtual and augmented reality, and medical visualization at San Jose State University. He did his postdoctoral work at the University of Delaware and worked as a research scientist in the Virtual and Augmented Reality Group. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Magdeburg, Germany, a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from Chungbuk National University, South Korea, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. His research focuses on interaction and visualization techniques in human-computer interaction, collaborative virtual reality, and medical visualization systems that support medical planning, training, and inter-professional team collaboration.

Nara is a social entrepreneur and business consultant dedicated to expanding education and opportunity for Cambodia’s next generation. She serves as CEO of Khmer TV, Program Manager at The Cambodian Family, Chief Business Officer and Co-founder of Toptimize, and Founder of ScholarSpace. Through her work in startup incubation, business development, and youth empowerment, she promotes innovation, technology, and strategic partnerships to strengthen human capital. Nara also co-founded the Wellbeing Advancement Organization and Youth Advancement for Development, launched the Chevening Bootcamp Initiative, and is a founding member of Women4Women, supporting Cambodian youth and entrepreneurs with skills, networks, and opportunities to thrive.

As the Founder of the US-ASEAN Young Professionals Association (UAYPA), she pioneered direct engagement with the ASEAN Secretariat, bridging the gap between STEM-driven innovation, international diplomacy, with diaspora engagement.
