Project Olympus is more than a science center—it is a dream we can build together and a gift from our generation to every generation that follows. It will belong to every Cambodian: the child growing up in a remote village, the student searching for a dream, the parent hoping for a better future for their children, and the Cambodian living thousands of miles from home who still carries Cambodia in their heart. Inspired by the extraordinary ingenuity of our ancestors who built Angkor Wat and countless temples that have stood for centuries, Project Olympus will remind our children that curiosity, creativity, engineering, and innovation are not foreign to us—they are part of who we are.
This achievement will belong to no individual, organization, institution, or political party. It will belong to all of us—to Cambodians everywhere, at home and abroad. Project Olympus will be a place where we put aside the things that divide us and embrace what binds us together as one people. We will lift one another up, celebrate one another’s successes, and care for one another as brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles—as one Cambodian family. Here, the success of one becomes the pride of all: if you win, we all win, and together we move forward. Every Cambodian will be invited to leave a mark on this shared legacy, from children and families across Cambodia who inscribe their hopes and dreams on materials that become part of the center, to Cambodians around the world who contribute their knowledge, time, ideas, and support.
Project Olympus will not simply be built for the Cambodian people; it will be built by the Cambodian people. Decades from now, a child may return with their own children, touch a brick bearing the name of a parent or grandparent, and proudly say, “Our family helped build this.” That is the legacy we hope to leave: a place where our past gives us pride, science gives us possibility, and our love for one another gives us strength. Above all, we want every Cambodian child to know: If you can imagine it, you can achieve it—not alone, but with all of us by your side. You belong here. This is yours. This is ours. And together, we will build Cambodia’s future.
