Why Invest in Project Olympus?

Investing in Project Olympus is not simply about building a Science Center. It is about building Cambodia’s future.

For generations, Cambodians have shown the world what we are capable of. Our ancestors built Angkor Wat—an enduring testament to Khmer ingenuity, engineering, mathematics, artistry, and imagination. Today, we have an opportunity to build something equally meaningful for the generations that will follow us: a place where every Cambodian child can walk through its doors, look at the wonders of science and technology, and begin to imagine what they, too, can create.

Project Olympus will belong to all of us. It will not belong to one person, one organization, one political party, or one generation. It will belong to Cambodia—to the farmer who contributes $1, the student who volunteers an afternoon, the engineer who shares her expertise, the Cambodian family abroad who gives back to the country they still call home, and everyone who believes that our children deserve the opportunity to dream bigger.

Imagine a young boy or girl from a small village visiting Project Olympus for the first time—seeing a rocket, looking through a telescope, experimenting with robotics, discovering the human body, or learning how engineers solve problems. That single experience could awaken a curiosity that changes the course of that child's life. We may never know which child will become Cambodia’s next great scientist, physician, engineer, inventor, or entrepreneur. But we can build the place where that dream begins.

Our investment is therefore not in concrete, glass, or buildings. It is in human potential. It is in curiosity. It is in education. It is in opportunity. And above all, it is in our children and grandchildren.

For Cambodians living abroad, Project Olympus offers something equally powerful: an opportunity to leave behind more than financial success or personal accomplishments. It is a chance to pass something meaningful back to the country and people from which our story began. Fifty or one hundred years from now, our names may be forgotten, but the opportunities we created for Cambodian children can continue changing lives.

No single person can build Project Olympus. But millions of Cambodians, each contributing what they can—money, knowledge, time, ideas, mentorship, or simply their voice—can make what seems impossible today inevitable tomorrow.

Project Olympus is our opportunity to say to the next generation: We believe in you. We invested in you. We built this for you. Now take it farther than we ever could.

If we build it together, one day we will stand before Project Olympus—not as donors, founders, or supporters, but simply as Cambodians—and say with pride:

We built this together. It belongs to all of us. And we built it for generations yet to come.
