Chheang Chilean
Chilean, originally from Kratie Province, Cambodia, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and a Master’s in Applied Biological Sciences (Environmental Health) from Chulabhorn Graduate Institute in Thailand. His thesis explored how arsenic exposure affects extracellular matrix remodeling in cholangiocarcinoma progression. He is currently a pre-doctoral intern at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA), working with transgenic mouse models. Committed to advancing science, Chilean plans to pursue a PhD and hopes to apply his research experience to benefit society.
